Banbury Antiques Market

antiques and collectables on Banbury Charter Market

History and Background

The well established Banbury Charter Market has been running successfully on Banbury Market Place for many years and was joined in April 2012 by a new Antiques2Go Antiques Market.

We've all heard of Banbury Cross but Banbury Town dates back much earlier than the nursery rhyme. Although the town originally had 3 crosses, none of the originals have survived and the current cross which was erected in 1859 stands at the junction of the 4 major roads. Banbury has a thriving community and excellent Castle Quay Shopping centre complementing the good variety of individual niche shops around the town.

Just outside one of the entrances to the shopping centre (close to M&S) you will find the Market Place and thriving Banbury Charter market with it's twice monthly antiques market held on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month from March - November.
