Banbury Antiques Market

antiques and collectables on Banbury Charter Market

History and Background

Historic Banbury is a popular tourist town in North Oxfordshire famous for it's "Ride a Cock Horse" nursery rhyme and it's Banbury Cakes.

Nearby Broughton Castle provides a stunning backdrop for many films and the local Oxford Canal offers narrowboat rides to see the local sights.

Banbury also boasts the excellent Quay Castle shopping centre and a well established market in Market Place. This charter market has been established for a long time and is held every Thursday and Saturday.

On the 2nd & 4th Thursdays and 2nd Saturday of the month between March and December you will also find the antiques stalls with a wide variety of antique and collectable items, and stallholders who know a lot about the items they are selling. It is very easy to look around the stalls and you may find an unusual item, or something a little different, as part of your day out.

As well as selling some of the stallholders will also buy antique and collectable items which you no longer want, and if you ask for Antiques2Go - look for the poster and flyers - we can point you in the direction of a likely buyer, or can even book items into one of our auctions for you - as far as we know we offer the cheapest auction costs in Northampton.

If you are a serious collector or looking for an unusal gift then come along and see us at Market Place, Banbury on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays or 2nd Saturday of the month from March - December.
