Towcester is also a great place for those interested in antiques and collectables. There are a number of antiques shop in the town and if you visit the town on Friday you will also be able to browse the Antiques Flea Market held in the Italianate Town Hall building in the heart of the town.

Parking is free in Towcester and most places are easily accessible within a short walk. If you enter Towcester via Watling Street on the main A5 and park in the market square in the centre of the town you will not be able to miss the imposing Town Hall building. There is no entry fee for the flea market, and wheelchair users or those who find the three steps at the front of the building too difficult can use the gentle ramp at the side of the building.

The Antiques Flea Market is held every Friday, except for Good Friday and the Fridays closest to Christmas and New Year, and is open from 8 am to 3 pm.

The variety of goods on offer varies from week to week and includes antiques, collectables, jewellery, silver, militaria, stamps, pictures, small furniture, linen, etc. There is also a regular stall supporting the MacMillan Nurses charity selling excellent home made cakes.

With its wide variety of antiques, collectables and general items for sale, the flea market is well worth a visit if you are in the area.
